On 24th of September 2020 at Batla House many local people lost their homes because of the slum demolition. No prior notice was given before the demolition. A similar demolition also took place 15 years ago. The people have been living in these slums for over 35 years. The slum area has been demolished and people became homeless and they are lacking with food.
